He is really proud of himself and he has every reason to be proud of himself!
Timothy is 12 years old and autistic. His journey began in 2013 when he attended the Philadelphia Eagles Huddle Up for Autism event. He became an Eagles fan for life. Just a few weeks later, he was assigned a new behavioral specialist who is also a football coach. He thought it would be a good experience for Timothy to play football. We spent months preparing him to be a part of the football team, and he is surpassing all of our expectations with his hard work, persistence, and dedication.

Bulldogs Win!!! 40-7!!
Today was Timothy first official football game. The Van Reed JV Midgets played Mifflin JV Midgets. Timothy was really nervous all morning. He had to be there at 10:15 to begin warming up and practicing. The game before his game lasted longer than expected, so his game was later starting. Rob was there to give him a few last words of encouragement before the game started (pictured right).
They played Mifflin last week in a scrimmage game and did really well, and today they did even better! Timothy held his own. Even the coaches were cheering for him at different times during the game. In practice, before the game started, they taught Timothy a new position with special teams being a part of the kick-off return team. He handled that role just fine. He also played defense on almost every defensive play. He did great!!

Next week, they play Wyomissing which is a much better team. I'm so glad he got this first game under his belt and it was a great success!!
He is really proud of himself and he has every reason to be proud of himself!
